Standard grade southern yellow pine allows larger knots, some exposed bark and has a radius edge on all 4 corners. Pressure treated for exterior above ground use – not intended for ground contact. Built-in water repellency lasts for up to 3 years plus reduces surface cracking and checking by up to 50% compared to ordinary treated wood. Treatment meets AWPA (American Wood Protection Association) standards and is building code compliant (IRC and IBC). Lifetime Limited Warrany that protects against rot, fungal decay, and termite infestation. For optimal performance of paint and stain coatings, allow treated wood to dry prior to application. Install the deck boards tightly together, pre-drill holes to minimize splitting, and use hot dipped galvanized or stainless steel fasteners. Hot-dip galvanized fasteners are recommended.
